Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information SimplifiedSamvidhan.com collects, how it is used, how advertising partners such as Google use cookies, and the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are
SimplifiedSamvidhan.com ("Simplified Samvidhan", "we", "us", "our") is an educational website about the Constitution of India, operated by Gaurav Gupta, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this website.
By using this website you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Information we collect
You can read every page on this website without creating an account or telling us who you are. We collect only the following:
- Information you send us. If you email us or use the contact form (which opens your own email app), we receive your name, email address and whatever you write.
- Technical log data. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records server logs: IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, referring page, and date and time. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookies and similar technologies set by us and by third parties such as Google, described below and in our Cookie Policy.
- Language preference. When you choose EN or हिन्दी, your browser stores a small setting called
ss-langin local storage on your own device. It is not sent to us.
We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, sensitive information such as Aadhaar numbers, financial details, health information or passwords.
3. How we use information
- To run, secure and improve the website and fix errors.
- To reply to your messages, corrections and requests.
- To understand which pages are useful, using aggregated statistics.
- To show advertisements that help keep the site free.
- To comply with Indian law and respond to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
4. Google AdSense and the DoubleClick cookie
We use (or may use) Google AdSense to display advertisements. In this connection:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick (DART) cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com). Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
- Other third-party ad vendors or ad networks may also serve ads on this site. Where they do, they may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to measure ad performance and personalise ads. You can visit the vendors' own websites or the opt-out pages above to manage this.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
We have no access to, or control over, cookies used by third-party advertisers. Their use of such information is governed by their own privacy policies.
5. Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are read most and how long people stay. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects data such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser. We use this only in aggregated form. You can prevent Google Analytics from using your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Cookies and your choices
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; the website will still work, though ads may become less relevant. Full details, including the main cookies used and how to control them in Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, are in our Cookie Policy.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland will be asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalised ads are shown.
6A. PDF Notes purchases
When you buy PDF notes, payment is processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited under its own privacy policy; we never receive your card, UPI PIN or bank details. Razorpay shares with us only what is needed to deliver your order: your name, email, mobile number and the payment ID.
- We use these only to email your download link and to print your name, email, the last four digits of your mobile number and the order ID on your copy (a watermark that discourages illegal sharing).
- We store just the name, email, last four digits of the mobile number and order ID, in a private folder outside the public website. Watermarked copies are deleted after 30 days; the order record is kept for up to 3 years for tax, refund and dispute purposes, then deleted.
- We do not sell, rent or share purchase data with advertisers or anyone else, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask to be notified about new notes.
8. How long we keep data
Emails are kept only as long as needed to answer you and keep a record of corrections, and are deleted on request unless the law requires us to keep them. Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period for security. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy.
9. Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023
If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the right to:
- Access information about the personal data we hold about you and how it is processed (Section 11);
- Correct, complete, update or erase your personal data (Section 12);
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it (Section 6);
