Rajasthan Panchayat Voter List 2026: How to Check Your Name

Your panchayat vote depends on one thing: your name in the ward-wise list of your gram panchayat. Here is how to find it in five steps, and what to carry on polling day.
Step by stepHow to Check Your Name in the Rajasthan Panchayat Voter List 2026
- 1
🌐 Open the State Election Commission website
Go to sec.rajasthan.gov.in. Panchayat voter lists are prepared by the State Election Commission, so they are on its website, not on the Election Commission of India's portal.
- 2
🗂️ Choose the electoral roll for Panchayati Raj
Open the voter list / electoral roll section for Panchayati Raj Institutions (not municipal bodies).
- 3
📍 Pick district, Panchayat Samiti, Gram Panchayat and ward
The list is published ward-wise. Select your district, then Panchayat Samiti (block), then Gram Panchayat, then your ward number.
- 4
🔎 Open the PDF and search your name
Look for your name, father's or husband's name, house number and EPIC (voter ID) number. Note your serial number and ward; the polling staff will ask for it.
- 5
📞 Not found? Check the Assembly roll and the BLO
Search your EPIC on electoralsearch.eci.gov.in. The panchayat roll is built from the Assembly roll, so if you are there but missing from the ward list, meet the BLO or the Returning Officer at the panchayat at once.

The lawWho Prepares the Panchayat Voter List: Article 243K
243K. Elections to the Panchayats.— (1) The superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of electoral rolls for, and the conduct of, all elections to the Panchayats shall be vested in a State Election Commission consisting of a State Election Commissioner to be appointed by the Governor.
(2) Subject to the provisions of any law made by the Legislature of a State, the conditions of service and tenure of office of the State Election Commissioner shall be such as the Governor may by rule determine: Provided that the State Election Commissioner shall not be removed from his office except in like manner and on the like grounds as a Judge of a High Court and the conditions of service of the State Election Commissioner shall not be varied to his disadvantage after his appointment.
(3) The Governor of a State shall, when so requested by the State Election Commission, make available to the State Election Commission such staff as may be necessary for the discharge of the functions conferred on the State Election Commission by clause (1).
(4) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, the Legislature of a State may, by law, make provision with respect to all matters relating to, or in connection with, elections to the Panchayats.
Article 243K gives the State Election Commission control over preparing the electoral rolls for panchayats. In practice, Rajasthan's SEC takes the Assembly roll and splits it ward by ward for every gram panchayat. So the same voter appears in both lists, but the panchayat list tells you your ward.
🏠 Everyday analogy
Like a school register: the school (Assembly roll) has every student, but the class teacher's register (ward list) decides which room you sit in on exam day.
🇮🇳 Real Indian example
Suppose Ramesh moved from ward 3 to ward 7 of his village after marriage but never updated his address. He will still vote in ward 3, where his name is listed.

Article 40: Village panchayats
Panchayats are meant to be self-government by the villagers themselves; a correct voter list makes that real.
Article 14: Equal treatment
Every eligible adult of the ward must be treated alike in the roll; arbitrary deletion can be challenged.

Doubts ClearedFrequently Asked Questions
How do I check my name in the panchayat voter list in Rajasthan?
On sec.rajasthan.gov.in, open the Panchayati Raj electoral roll, choose district, Panchayat Samiti, Gram Panchayat and ward, and search the PDF for your name.
Can I vote in the panchayat election without a voter ID card?
Yes, if your name is on the ward list and you carry another photo ID allowed by the State Election Commission's order, such as Aadhaar.
My name is in the Assembly list but not in the panchayat list. What now?
Meet the BLO or the Returning Officer of your panchayat with your EPIC immediately. Names usually cannot be added once the election programme is announced, so get it fixed for the next election.
Is the panchayat voter list different from the Lok Sabha list?
It is prepared by a different body (the State Election Commission) and is divided by ward, but it is built from the same Assembly roll.
